  • 92 days

Been thinking a lot about the recent events that have culminated and if the choices I made in those situations were the right ones. One recent event  between a good friend and myself went south really fast. I didnt mean to tell her we should not talk any longer, but whats done is done. I honestly don’t feel like we are compatible around each other anymore. Every time we have a conversation, it was like talking to a brick wall. I only wish we could go back to the days when we could talk about anything but that’s never going to happen. Best thing to do now is to go our own seperate ways and let things happen from there.

I’ve been running into alot of old aquaintances recently, some im cool with and some i just don’t really feel like talking to. Tuesday I ran into a friend of my ex friend at the kogi taco truck , I really had nothing to say to her and she probably didn’t recognize me anyway. Last time she saw me I had long hair. Anyway I told my friend Angie that I was craving some kogi bbq and I was planning to hit that up after work so we decided to meet up there when we got out of the office. I got there first since I was hungry and was being a speed demon. I got there  and seeing how there was no line I put in an order and didn’t even look at anyone in the crowd waiting for their food. I walked back to my car to grab my jacket and when I looked back, she was standing there with her ear to her phone. I didn’t make eye contact, I had no intent on speaking to her anyway. Angie finally came , we pigged out and talked about where we were going to surf this weekend.

Wednesday I met up with some friends at Disney for a few hours, while I was heading to meet with them, I ran into one of my ex girlfriends.. still kind of awkward. That would be ex girlfriend number 4 I’ve ran into at disneyland.

There’s a lot more going on but I’ll save that for another time.

    92 days left.

  • Late to work…

Today was the second day that I was late to work and the reason why was left in circumstances that were beyond my control.

Those who know me would agree that I am a very punctual individual despite all the stereotypes associated with my nationality. Those stereotypes being that filippinos are always late.
I beg to differ, I always show up 20 – 30 minutes early. Unfortunately due to the actions of the same individual, I was late two times in a row!
    Day one:
I woke up about an hour and a half before work. It only takes me 30 minutes to get ready and Im usually on the road about 45 minutes before work starts. I am only about 20 minutes away from the office and that 20 minute buffer allows me to have some breakfast before I head in to start my daily routine. So I get on the freeway and just my luck, all lanes were at a standstill.  it took me 30 minutes to go approximately 1 mile. When i got to the point where the traffic was starting to back up I noticed a car spun 180 degrees around and another car off to the left side with front end damage. There was a girl standing next to the car that was spun around and she was looking off like she didn’t know what happen. the guy in the other car was on his cell phone. I blow past it seeing that they are ok and hauled ass to work, 10 minutes late into the office.
    Day two:
I go through my daily routine and get to the freeway on time. I get on and great, the freeway was another parking lot. As soon as I get to the point where the traffic was starting to back up I get a case of deja vu and then I questioned if I woke up in another dimension.
In the exact same spot as day one, was a rental car spun 180 degrees in the same lane, and an suv with front end damage to the left of the car spun 180. Next to the car that was spun around was, surprise, surprise, the same girl from day one looking confused.
So apparently, this girl merged to the left on two different occasions and hit these drivers causing her to spin.
How do these people even get licenses?

  • Burning bridges…

Sometimes it is necessary to burn bridges in order for one to effectively move on to a better path.
In the last 2 months, I’ve burned 3 bridges (metaphorically speaking of course). In the last 4 years I’ve burned 20 and have found new paths that allowed me to pursue my goals and maintain the active lifestyle that I am accustom to.
I wish I only found this path 8 years ago.
